To be a flower girl was the dream of most young girls growing up.
To wear a pretty dress and carry a flower filled basket walking down the aisle spreading flowers as the bride follows behind .
Well, unfortunately I was never a flower girl but that’s not the focus of today…
I was inspired by a “cornrose” hairstyle I saw online which is basically cornrows with rose flowers at its ends but as a Nigerian, we call it ALL BACK.
I contemplated getting this hairstyle because I didn’t know how people will react to it. Will it look out of place? will it look professional? Will people take me serious ?
To answer all these questions, I went with what I wanted. I got my all back and the flowers in them.
The hair stylist was very welcoming and impressed that I would want something that’s not so common.
She was most impressed , i actually committed to the look by getting the flowers, trimming them and preparing it for the hairstyle.
Result/Conclusion🌺
I loved it,
Everyone loved it.
I didn’t get any negative comment about my hair just a few people that asked why as it wasn’t something they see everyday.
I meet a lady who was so excited about it she told me i actually wasted this beautiful hairstyle as it would be the perfect fit for a Valentine date.
I got to be a model for a makeup look, because the stylist loved the hairstyle and said it would go with the look she was trying to create. It was a fun one too.
So therefore dear reader ;
Be yourself,
Get on with your creative side,
So what if people laugh, you will find your own people that understand.
This year, I have decided to do the things I have always wanted to try out style wise, who knows I might even dye my hair!
Enjoy living,
Romanticize your life❤️❤️❤️.
